HR Manager NL

The HR Manager NL will be responsible for HR in the Netherlands (500 employees, 5 different entities), developing a professional Human Resources support service to a defined set of divisions and functions within the Netherlands. You are managing the HR team in the Netherlands on subjects such as: Employee relations, C&B, Organizational Development, Talent & career Development, Talent Acquisition, Changemanagement.

In this role you will drive the implementation, management and administration of existing-, development-, continuous improvement of new HR processes. Besides this you will be supporting in the interpretation and application of relevant/applicable labor legislation throughout the company and to keep local management and employees informed on all important HR/Personnel aspects. You will serve as a critical member of the Benelux Management Team.

The position is ideal for an talented and versatile senior HR professional who is ready to take on and end responsible HR job that touches all subjects of HR within a complex matrix organization. With intellectual horsepower, high learning agility, strong analytical skills and high organizational sensitiveness, you will further professionalize the HR function and be able to touch various long-term strategic HR subjects. Someone who is capable of driving the HR team forward, someone who takes responsibility for balancing superb HR operations with HR tactics and strategics. 

Bringing experience from an international, global company and having acted in local roles as well (managing plants, production units, e.g. from an HR perspective), you will be able to trust on your knowledge and skills and are capable of stretching yourself in order to grow fast and show true learning agility. Profile

  • An HR manager who combines a pragmatic attitude with highly analytical skills.
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in HRM or another relevant study.
  • > 10 years of HR experience and > 3 years managing/leadership experience
  • Preferred experience as a Site/Location/Production HR Manager in NL
  • Able to navigate in a matrixed international organization within a dynamic environment.
  • Builds strong relationships; coaches and consults leaders on efficient conflict management; supports leaders in building, identifying, retaining and promoting talent; enables performance driven culture and strong employee capabilities.
  • Supports the development of Global/EMEA HR policies, procedures and projects with local expertise and ensures efficient implementation.
  • Builds and maintains cooperative network with relevant internal and external partners 
  • Has proven experience in leading works council and union negotiations and possesses a strong background on pensions (essential!).
  • Willingness to travel to different locations in the Netherlands
  • Experience with international employment and mobility is an advantage.
  • 40 hours/week

Background information

The current HR team consists of the HR Manager, 3 HR Generalists and a Work Force Administrator.  Last few years, the HR department has been undergoing some significant changes such as outsourcing payroll activities and the introduction of the new Global HR system Workday. Besides these activities across our 5 legal entities in the Netherlands, harmonization of benefits, processes, practices and policies have been high on the agenda.
