Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Our client is a young and ambitious e-commerce retail start up that is growing fast. They started in February this year and currently employ over 30 people. This number of staff will double in the course of 2017. Therefore, they are looking for a dedicated, focused and efficient senior talent acquisition specialist who is able to strengthen them with the best e-com talents (in various disciplines) in the industry. 

As their Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will first and foremost secure that the right person is identified and attracted (based on a combination of technical & personal skills and culture fit). You will do this through the right channels and as cost effective as possible. Of course the new Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist must have profound recruitment knowledge, experience and the right technical and analytical skills.  But besides these “hard skills”, your personality, energy-level and team spirit are just as important. You are someone who shows commitment, takes responsibility, is flexible and who get things done. Someone who is willing to help others and who is committed in doing things better, faster and further professionalize talent acquisition processes and procedures.

You have acquired strong talent acquisition skills, either on agency side or corporate recruitment side (ideally a combination of both). You are strong in searching and sourcing candidates through various (social media) channels, online platforms and knowledge networks. You manage the recruitment process meticulously, have an eye for detail and solid in organizing your own work. You have the ability to shift attention quickly, are easy-going, thrive in an international, informal, dynamic and growing high-pace environment.  You are able to motivate and convince candidates to choose our client as their next employer. 

This new position is a key-role at our client in which you will report into the HR Lead and have a close and direct line to two managing directors. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Responsible for realizing hiring target according to recruitment planning 2017
  • Manage the full recruiting cycle (JDs, Platforms, ATS, interviews, tests etc.)
  • Design and implement original and highly effective sourcing strategies
  • Take the lead if the process is not right or needs changes, advise on all recruitment related matters on all levels in the company
  • Monitor success of sourcing and recruitment and report on this to the management
  • Maintain a relevant candidate database of talented people, create external talent pools
  • Be an organizational match maker (creative, cost effective); have a critical eye for the right company DNA
  • You are the face of our client to the outside world; you will promote our employer brand in creative ways, are a strong “company story teller” and will thus load our brand in various ways 
  • Know your way around in todays ‘recruitment land’, recruitment solutions and sourcing methods & channels
  • Work closely with the HR Lead and hiring managers

Skills, experience and other requirements

  • WO/Masters background
  • 5-10 years of experience in talent acquisition (especially Tech is a plus) 
  • Combination of agency and corporate recruitment experience
  • Fluent in English and experienced in Dutch
  • Knowledge of the (Dutch) labor market, job boards, cv databases and other recruiting platforms (sourcing techniques)
  • Proven social media expert 
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Proven ability to realize targets
  • Critical eye for details when reviewing candidates
  • Charismatic, energetic personality
  • Able to translate the internal ‘customer’ need into the right approach
  • Nice person to work with (humor, flexible, hands on, team player)
